Prom season is in full swing at Manhasset! Junior Prom was just last month on March 1 at the Culture Club at Old Bethpage, while Senior Prom is taking place at Bridgeview Yacht Club on April 5th. You can practically feel the excitement flooding through the halls of Manhasset, as the seniors prepare to buy their corsages and boutonnières. We can assure you that senior prom is bound to be filled with dancing, laughs, and a delicious dinner.
As for Junior Prom (more well known as “JProm”), all who attended can attest to a fun night. From the photo booth, to the delicious food, practically everyone is in agreement. Personally, I commend the Class of 2025 Student Government for organizing this event. Even down to the most minute details, such as providing socks within the girls’ bathroom so girls had the chance to take off those torture devices otherwise known as heels made such a grand difference.
As for this year’s senior class, I’m sure there is so much more to look forward to within Senior Prom. For those of you who want a few tips for this prom, here are the best ones I can think of:
– When you go to dance, take off your corsage or boutonnières. It makes all the difference. Coming from someone who had their corsage absolutely destroyed by the end of the night, I wish I took it off sooner.
– Girls, pack a pair of socks. Although we had socks for JProm, that doesn’t necessarily mean there will be enough socks for everyone. Just as a precautionary measure, bring a spare pair, or even flip flops.
– If you have a small digital camera, bring it. I brought my own to JProm, and I loved how all the photos turned out. Bonus points if you and your friends make a shared album. Your friends (and their parents for that matter) will thank you later.
No matter who you are going with, Senior prom will definitely be a blast. Enjoy it, it only comes around once in a lifetime. Congratulations again to the senior class, Happy Proming!
