The future of robot overlords is not here yet, but robots have become an increasingly important part of the business world. Domino’s is beginning this transition in Houston where they are sending robots to deliver food autonomously instead of humans. These robot cars come to the customer’s location and can only be opened with a special code that will be given to the customer beforehand. When the customer enters this code they will be able to access and enjoy their delicious food. This isn’t Domino’s first experiment with autonomous robot cars however, since in 2017 Domino’s had self-driving cars bring the food to customers in Michigan. While self-driving cars will be revolutionary to the fast food industry, customers will have to wait since this switch won’t be easy or quick. Self-driving cars will be a game changer and I support this transition since it’s about time fast food gets fast.
