Villanova Wins Again
For the second time in 3 years, the Villanova Wildcats are NCAA Champions. Villanova was fueled by a 31-point night off the bench from Donte DiVincenzo in a 79-62 win over the Michigan Wolverines on Monday. Villanova not only won the championship game by a large amount, but also all six games in the tournament Villanova won in double-digit fashion. In each of those six games, Villanova won by 26, 23, 12, 12, 16 and 17, respectively. Villanova becomes the fourth program post-John Wooden UCLA era to win two titles in the span of 3 years, joining Duke (1991-92), Kentucky (1996, 98) and Florida (2006-07). This isn’t the only thing Philly fans are celebrating, as the Eagles won the Super Bowl in February and the 76ers are on a twelve game winning streak heading into the playoffs. Things are looking good for Philadelphia sports fans!
