Ariana Grande/Prince Royce Concert Review
On Saturday, September 26, I went to Ariana Grande’s concert at the Barclays Center, in Brooklyn.
Getting there was very easy: LIRR and then the number-two subway downtown to Brooklyn. Even though this concert was sold out, getting into the venue wasn’t too difficult. The staff members at the Barclay’s Center were very organized and pleasant. It only took about fifteen minutes to get seated!
The opening performance was by Prince Royce, who sang a mixture of English and Spanish songs. He was very interactive with the audience and extremely thankful for all of his fan’s support. Once he was done performing, there was about a forty-five minute break until the main act, Ariana Grande!
Ariana came on the stage with a dramatic 60 second countdown, considering how long we waited to see her! She opened up with her famous song, “Bang, Bang.” She sang song after song with very minimal breaks. Even when she did have a costume change, she was very quick. Other songs that she sang were “Break Free,” “Honeymoon Avenue,” “Love Me Harder,” and “One Last Time.” One of her best performances was when she sang “Best Mistake.” Standing on a cloud against a sky background, she looked as if she were floating in the clouds. During her last song, black and white confetti came out of nowhere and filled the entire arena.
Usually, singers don’t sound the same in person, but Ariana Grande was an exception. She sounded exactly like she does on radio, maybe even better! What was really enjoyable about her concert was that it wasn’t overwhelmingly long. Her concert lasted about three and a half hours, which I think is a perfect amount of time for a very loud and crazy concert.
Ariana Grande really knows how to put on a good show, and I highly recommend going to one of her concerts!
