Avengers: Age of Ultron Review
Ending phase two of the Marvel Cinematic Universe comes Avengers: Age of Ultron, filled with action, amazing stunts, juicy romance, a few tears, and of course, plenty of laughs. Stars from the cast of the first movie, titled Marvel’s The Avengers, include Chris Evans (Captain America), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Robert Downey Jr, (Iron Man), Mark Ruffalo (The Hulk), Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye), Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury), and Cobie Smulders (Maria Hill). Some new members also joined into the cast, including Elizabeth Olsen (Scarlet Witch), Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Quicksilver), Paul Bettany (Vision and the Voice of JARVIS), and James Spader (voice of Ultron).
In The Avengers, the team battles with Thor’s villainous brother, Loki, God of Mischief, to protect New York City from a dangerous and powerful energy source known as the Tesseract. Now, the Avengers take on a new enemy to once again save a city and the entire human race. Tony Stark, the man behind the iron mask, tries to create an intelligence system similar to his creation JARVIS (Just A Rather Very Intelligent System). Ultron was supposed to be a shield around the world, but he used his vast knowledge of, well, everything, for evil rather than protection. New to the cinematic universe are twins Wanda and Pietro Maximoff, better known as Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver. They begin the movie helping Ultron fight the Avengers. Scarlet Witch taps into people’s minds and Quicksilver can run super fast. As events in the movie move forward, the twins change their allegiance to helping the Avengers. “You didn’t see that coming?”
If you haven’t made your way down to a theater and watched this movie, I suggest you do so soon. For those of you who have yet to start watching these movies, it’s about time you start. But not with this one. The order to watch them in is: Captain America: The First Avenger, Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man 2, Thor, The Avengers, Iron Man 3, Thor: The Dark World, and Captain America: The Winter Soldier, which will bring you to Age of Ultron. Have fun binging (but maybe start after APs or finals), and “God dang it, watch your language!”
