Marvel Creates Another Hit With The Eternals

Marvel’s latest film The Eternals was released on November 5, 2021. Directed by Chloe Zhao, the Eternals has been praised by viewers everywhere for its captivating plot and diverse cast. The movie stars Angelina Jolie as Thena, Gemma Chan as Sersi, Richard Madden as Ikaris, Salma Hayek as Ajak, Barry Koeghan as Druig, Don Lee as Gilgamesh, Brian Tyree Henry as Phastos, Kumail Nanjiani as Kingo, and Lauren Ridloff as marvel’s first deaf superhero Makkari. 

The Eternals, immortal beings with superhuman powers, were sent to earth in order to protect humans from evil beings called Deviants. After defeating what they believe to be the last of the Deviants thousands of years ago, the Eternals go their separate ways, however, they are forced to reunite when a Deviant returns. 

Marvel always excels at creating movies that include interesting and dynamic characters as well as incredible visual effects and this movie was no exception. The Eternals has something for everyone. For those that enjoy more character-focused movies, this film focuses heavily on the relationships between characters and the relationship between the Eternals and the rest of the world. For those who watch marvel films for the fight scenes and visual effects, this movie has no shortage of epic fight scenes and some of marvel’s most beautiful and impressive effects to date. 

Marvel has not yet greenlit a sequel to the Eternals, however, it is expected that the characters will appear in other Marvel films. In the meantime, marvel fans can look forward to movies such as Thor: Love and Thunder, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and Spiderman: No Way Home which will all be released within the next year.
