Top 5 Shows to Binge Watch On Netflix During Quarantine

  1. Love Is Blind – This reality show hosted by Nick and Vanessa Lachey focuses on single people trying to find love by communicating in pods where they cannot see who they are talking to. Those who find a connection get to meet only once they get engaged. These engaged couples are then sent on a one week luxury vacation in Mexico before going back to the US to live together during the 3 weeks leading up to their wedding. This show is full of drama and heartbreak that keeps viewers on the edge of their seats.

  1. Stranger Things – This fantasy show is about a girl with powers who escapes a lab and makes friends with the local children on a mission to find their friend who has gone missing. This show is filled with cliffhangers and interesting plots that keep people watching. It also has a good balance of comedy and horror which is hard to find in a television show. I would not advise young children to watch this show as it contains a fair amount of gruesome scenes.

  1. Community – Community is relatively new to Netflix, but is already trending. This comedy series is about a study group at Greendale community college. This show provides the lighthearted comedy that everyone needs right now. Community stars well-known actors Allison Brie and Donald Glover before they reached superstardom as well as Chevy Chase, Joel McHale, and Ken Jeong.

  1. New Girl – This comedy series is about a girl living with 3 male roommates in Los Angeles. New Girl gets funnier with every season and has easily likable characters that keep viewers invested in the show. This series also has incredible guest stars such as Prince, Jamie Lee Curtis, Dermont Mulroney, and many more.

  1. The Circle – The Circle is a reality television show about a social media competition. Eight contestants are asked to compete using a social media platform called “The Circle” and the most liked player wins. The fun part about this show is that the players are not allowed to meet in real life, so anyone can be anyone. To make it even harder, no one knows how to play the game or what The Circle is going to throw at them next. This show is extremely fun to watch and is filled with twists and turns that no one sees coming. Netflix also has the Brazilian and French versions of the Circle.
