Directed by Matt Shakram and written by Jac Shaeffer, WandaVision premiered on Disney+ on January 15, 2021, and came to an end on March 5, 2021. This popular show stars Kathryn Hahn as Agnes, Kat Dennings as Darcy Lewis, Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff, Paul Bettany as the Vision, Randall Park as Jimmy Woo, and Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau. 

After the events of Avengers: Endgame, superpowered beings Wanda Maximoff and the Vision seem to be living idealized suburban lives in Westview, New Jersey. However, as time goes on the loving couple begins to suspect that things may not be what they seem.

Both Bettany and Olsen have previously appeared in marvel films such as Avengers: Age of Ultron, Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame, and Captain America: Civil War, Dennings has appeared in Thor and Thor: The Dark World and Park briefly appeared in Ant-man and the Wasp. However, WandaVision has been praised by both older Marvel fans and new viewers alike for its ability to create a plot that does not require knowledge of other Marvel films. While watching other films featuring Wanda Maximoff and the Vision may be helpful in understanding the events preceding this show, it is not a necessary step to enjoy the show. WandaVision is not as gory or violent as many of Marvel’s other projects, making it the perfect choice for the entire family. While a little slow at first, the show quickly picks up the pace and keeps viewers on the edge of their seats up until the very end. 

Fans of the show wanting more are in luck as several characters from this show are rumored or confirmed to be appearing in several of Marvel’s upcoming projects. Elizabeth Olsen has been confirmed to appear in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Kat Dennings has been confirmed to appear in Thor: Love and Thunder, and Teyonah Parris have been confirmed to appear in Captain Marvel 2 and rumored to appear in Secret Invasion.
