On Friday, November 14th at 7:00 p.m., Jackson Daly and Ruby Cacioppo hosted the first annual Poetry Coffee House (better known as PoCoHo) of the 2025-26 school year. In the weeks leading up to PoCoHo, Manhasset’s art students were hard at work crafting and hanging colorful, engaging, and detailed posters to advertise the event.
Their efforts clearly paid off — the cafeteria was full of students eager to share and listen to poetry and music. Tickets were sold at the entrance for $2, and complimentary refreshments — including hot chocolate, marshmallows, and cookies — were served. Tables were decorated with stylish floral arrangements and sprinkled with festive confetti. Original poems were recited by Max Cellura, Maddy Cellura, LJ Michon, Dean Ciampa, and more. There were also numerous cover performances including:
- Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas Is You” by Andrew Kapouralous
- Beabadoobee’s “Coffee” by Ally Patway
- Zach Bryan’s “Something in the Orange” by James Zublionis
- Alicia Key’s “Empire State of Mind” by Mikey Beschel
- Mozart’s “Divertimento” by Hatelynn Cai, Alex Boi, and Allyssa Lin
Thanks to Jackson Daly and Ruby Cacioppo for bringing PoCoHo back for another year!
